Ancher Studio ApS is a Danish private limited company (anpartsselskab) registered with Erhvervsstyrelsen. The shop sells to consumers and to businesses across Denmark, the European Union and, on request, beyond it.
2. What we sell
Charcoal-glazed stoneware tableware: plates, bowls, cups and saucers, serving pieces, prep and storage pieces, single replacement pieces, and three counted sets. Every piece is a food contact article. The forms and the glaze are specified in Denmark; the pieces are thrown and fired by a partner workshop in Poland. Both facts are printed on every product page.
Product pages publish measured dimensions, a stacking pitch, a rim section, tested cycle counts with the protocol that produced them, the glaze specification, the reference of the declaration of compliance, the migration-limit category that applies, and the limits on microwave, dishwasher, oven and freezer use. Nothing is sold on a claim we cannot show the working for.
3. Prices
All prices are stated in Danish kroner and include 25% moms. The price you see on a product page is the price you pay for that piece. Shipping is added at checkout and is shown before you commit to anything.
Set prices are compared against the sum of our own open-stock prices for the pieces the set contains. That comparison is computed from the live prices on this site, and the contents table on each set page shows the calculation line by line. We do not compare against a price nobody has ever paid, and we do not run countdown offers.
We reserve the right to correct an obvious pricing error. If a piece is listed at a price that is clearly wrong, we will contact you before dispatch and you can either confirm at the corrected price or cancel with nothing charged.
4. Shipping charges
- Orders under DKK 900: DKK 79.
- Orders of DKK 900 and over: shipping included.
- Delivery outside the European Union may attract import duty and local tax, which is payable by you. We cannot calculate it in advance.
5. How an order is formed
- You add pieces to the basket. Nothing is reserved at this point.
- At checkout you enter your name, email, telephone and delivery address. The continue button stays disabled until every required field is complete and valid.
- You are taken to the payment step, which is operated by our payment provider on their own secure page. No card details are entered on this site and none reach our servers.
- Payment authorises the order. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation by email setting out the pieces, the quantities, the price inkl. moms, the shipping charge and the expected dispatch date.
Cards accepted at the payment step are Dankort, Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard and Maestro. The charge appears on your statement under the trading name Servicelab.
6. Cancelling an order before it ships
Email support@ancherstudio.shop and we will stop the order at no cost as long as it has not left the workshop. If it has already gone, the right of withdrawal applies instead. There is no cancellation fee at any stage, and no charge for changing your mind.
7. Delivery
Orders leave the workshop within 1–2 working days. Delivery is 1–2 working days after dispatch in Denmark, 3–6 working days after dispatch elsewhere in the EU and 6–12 working days after dispatch for the rest of the world. Fragile-goods packaging, carriers and the damage-report route are set out on the delivery page.
8. Changing your mind
You have 14 days from receiving the last piece in the order to withdraw, for any reason or none. The standard withdrawal form and the full conditions are on the withdrawal page. Everything in this range is a stock piece, so no item is excluded from withdrawal as a made-to-order good.
9. If something is faulty
The Danish right to complain under Købeloven runs for 2 years from delivery and is separate from the right of withdrawal. How it works, what counts as a fault and what does not, is on the right to complain page.
10. Refunds
Refunds are paid to the same means of payment you used, without a fee. A withdrawal refund is paid within 14 days of us receiving the pieces back or of you proving you have sent them, whichever comes first. A refund under the right to complain is paid within 14 days of us agreeing the claim. If the payment card has expired or been replaced, tell us and we will arrange a bank transfer instead.
11. Resupply
Single pieces are sold as open stock so a service can be repaired rather than replaced. What that undertaking covers, and where it stops, is written out on the resupply page. In short: we restock the current range and we tell you in advance when something is stopping, and the glaze is fired in batches that vary slightly from one another.
12. Handmade tolerance
These are thrown pieces. A tolerance of ±5% applies to every published dimension, and variation in the glaze surface — including the small pinholes characteristic of a satin glaze, and colour movement where the glaze pools — is a property of the firing rather than a fault. Colour also moves between glaze batches; see the resupply page.
13. Safe use
Every product page states whether the piece may go in the microwave, the dishwasher, the oven and the freezer, with the oven temperature ceiling where one applies. Nothing in this range belongs on a hob, under a grill element or over an open flame. Fired stoneware moves when the temperature moves; let a piece reach room temperature before it goes into a hot oven, and let it cool on a rack rather than under cold water.
14. Age
Orders are accepted from people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly sell to children and we do not ask for a date of birth.
15. Liability
We are liable for damage caused by our own negligence and for our obligations under Danish consumer law. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights. We are not liable for damage caused by using a piece outside the limits published on its product page — putting a piece with metallic decoration in a microwave, taking a piece straight from a freezer into a hot oven, or using a piece on a hob.
16. Complaints and disputes
Come to us first at support@ancherstudio.shop; most things are settled in a day. If we cannot agree, you can take the matter to the Danish complaint bodies or to the EU online dispute resolution platform — both routes, with addresses, are on the complaints page.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by Danish law, and the Danish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules in your own country.
18. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you place it, and it is attached to your order confirmation. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version.
